Beazer Homes Completes First Energy Series READY Homes in Nashville Area

December 5, 2023 at 8:00 AM EST

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – December 5, 2023 – Beazer Homes is proud to announce the completion of its first Nashville-area home to be certified as a U.S. Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready HomeTM. The home was built at the Waverly community in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and is among the most energy-efficient homes built by Beazer today.

Beazer is also building the first community of 100% DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes in the state of Tennessee at Tulip Hills in Hermitage, Tenn. The first two homes have closed and the first READY model, the Harding townhome, will be opening the weekend of December 16.

A home with a blue sky

Beazer’s Energy Series READY homes—including those built at Tulip Hills—are ENERGY STAR® certified, Indoor airPLUS qualified, and certified by the DOE as a Zero Energy Ready Home. Verified and certified by a qualified third-party inspector, these homes are 40-50% more efficient than typical new homes.

“Every home we build is designed with cutting-edge, energy-efficient features,” said Geoff Hart, Nashville Area President for Beazer Homes. “With better home performance, customers can save money on energy bills, enjoy improved air quality for healthier living, and live more comfortably in their home.”

For more than 25 years, Beazer has been a leader in building homes ahead of current standards and beyond expectations. Beazer was the first U.S. national homebuilder to publicly commit that by the end of 2025, every single-family home built will meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Home program.

“This DOE program commitment represents a new level of quality, comfort, and innovation for our customers by providing them with a high-performance home and a reduced carbon footprint,” Hart says. “We’re proud of the partnerships we’ve created with industry-leading companies who share our vision and enable us to stay on the cutting edge of trends, technology, and efficiency.”

Behind the walls of each Beazer home are innovative, energy-efficient features to improve home performance and maintain ideal temperatures, giving homeowners control over their comfort. Each home is designed to filter indoor air, which reduces outside pollutants like mold and toxic chemicals. This means healthier living with improved air quality and comfort.

Beazer’s first READY community in the Nashville area, Tulip Hills of Hermitage, Tenn., offers townhomes and single-family detached homes, with easy access to I-40 and downtown Nashville, Percy Priest Lake, and Nashville International Airport. With 4 townhome floorplans and 5 single-family floorplans, residents can find the home that best fits their needs and budget. Community amenities are under construction which include a dog park, community pool, and green spaces.
