Beazer Homes Announces New $250 Million Four-Year Revolving Credit Facility And $200 Million Four-Year Term Loan; Intends to Call $100 Million Senior Notes for Redemption

ATLANTA, June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (NYSE: BZH) (www.beazer.com) today announced that it has closed a $250 million four-year revolving credit facility and a $200 million four-year term loan with a group of banks, led by Bank One, NA as Agent and Banc One Capital Markets, Inc. as Lead Arranger and Sole Bookrunner. The revolving credit facility matures in June 2007 and renews and extends Beazer's $250 million revolving credit facility, which was set to expire in September 2004. The term loan also matures in June 2007 and replaces Beazer's $100 million term loan that was set to mature in December 2004. The revolving credit facility and the term loan bear interest at a fluctuating rate based upon LIBOR or the corporate base rate of interest announced by Bank One.

Participating banks, in addition to Bank One, NA, include: BNP Paribas, Guaranty Bank, SunTrust Bank, and Wachovia Bank, National Association as Syndication Agents, Comerica Bank, PNC Bank, N.A. and Washington Mutual Bank, FA, as Co-Agents, and AmSouth Bank, BankUnited, FSB, Fifth Third Bank, Indiana, KeyBank National Association and Compass Bank as participants.

The Company also announced that it is using a portion of the net proceeds from the term loan to redeem its 8.875% Senior Notes due 2008 (the "2008 Notes"). Pursuant to the optional redemption provisions of the 2008 Notes, the Company intends to call the 2008 Notes for redemption at 104.438% of the principal amount, plus accrued interest. The redemption of the 2008 Notes is expected to be effective on June 20, 2003.
