Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (NYSE: BZH) announced today the appointment of Ed
Gold to Maryland Division President and John Reeves to Virginia Division
President.
Until recently, Beazer had managed its business in the Maryland and
Virginia markets as a single division. With these joint appointments,
Beazer is deepening its commitment to the Mid-Atlantic region and
intends to pursue growth strategies to increase its number of new home
communities in each division. Beazer currently operates approximately 30
communities in the Mid-Atlantic, located in three states with division
offices located in Columbia, Maryland and Chantilly, Virginia.
Mr. Gold joins Beazer from a privately held Maryland-based homebuilder,
which he founded and has successfully operated for the past 7 years.
Prior to that position, Mr. Gold was President of Ryland Homes’
Mid-Atlantic division. He is a board member of Maryland Family Network
and graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of
Science and a Masters degree in business administration. In addition,
Mr. Gold earned his Juris Doctor degree from Pace University School of
Law. Mr. Gold officially joins Beazer on November 26, 2012.
Mr. Reeves is a veteran homebuilding executive with prior experience
leading Washington DC metropolitan area divisions for two other national
homebuilders, Pulte Homes and KB Homes. Mr. Reeves started his career in
homebuilding 12 years ago as a finance professional and, over time,
moved into division operating positions of increasing responsibility.
Mr. Reeves graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts in
economics and received a Masters degree in public accounting from the
University of Hartford. Mr. Reeves officially joined Beazer on October
1, 2012.
